A RATHER handsome house, razed to the ground by a team of five skinny labourers wielding mallets, now waits for the bending of the wires and the construction of a three storey building.
The house, next to the offices of www.itexaminer.com, has a palm tree in its precincts and that’s been left. It’s considered to be bad luck to chop a palm tree here in Ole Bengaluru.
Since the last time we were here, a week or so back, the entire site has been cleared while the scaffolding remains. And attached to the scaffolding is a post box. Wonder what sort of junk mail they’re expecting? ♣
