Eon’s HES in total fail

SOME OF you will know that Eon spun off its home support unit and created a new company called Home Energy Services (HES) in some kind of deal.

I had a contract with Eon for it to look after my boiler and stuff, and HES was supposed to service my boiler as part of the annual contract.

Here’s the audit trail – so far:

2 June 2014: Your HES central heating annual service is due.
16 June 2014: Your HES central heating appointment has been scheduled between 12:00 and 16:00 on 20 June 2014. No show

29 June 2014: Here’s a reminder that your HES central heating appointment is scheduled between 08:00 and 12:00 on 1 July 2014. No show
1 July 2014: Hello. Your HES central heating engineer Jamie Spearman is on their (sic) way No show
1 July 2014: Your HES central heating appointment has been scheduled between 16:00 and 20:00 on 1 July 2014. Thank you. No show
2 July 2014: Your HES central heating appointment has been scheduled between 08:00 and 12:00 on 5 July 2014. Thank you. No show
7 July 2014: Your HES central heating appointment has been scheduled between 10:00 and 14:00 on 24 July 2014. Thank you. No show yet…

Now what could possibly have gone wrong?  According to the charming people at the Call Centre there is no such address in Mill Street as the one I live in. Strange, then, that Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Ocado and every man+dog can find my address, isn’t it?

“If you would like to book your service by telephone, you can call us on 0345 872 85903”  Oh, I know, I know…

EON’s Chris McLain in mighty fail

Bob CollingtonChris McLain is the CEO of Home Energy Services Ltd, spun off from EON, as far as I can tell.

HES was supposed to service my boiler on Monday the 16th of June last but the engineer said he couldn’t find a parking space, according to the wonderful Zoe, someone who obviously cares at HES.

She called me back pronto and said the engineer couldn’t be arsed to try to park again so my boiler would have to wait until the 1st of July to be serviced.

Zoe was obviously cool but Mr Chris McLain obviously doesn’t give an arse about his customers, inherited from EON. We await to hear from the spun off company and hope Chris McClain doesn’t get a knighthood for no services to old people! ♣
