WHAT BEAUTIFUL things they are, here on Mill Street – and it is sunflower seeds that are dragging them in. Not just the goldfinches and the long tailed tits, but the robins, the ground sparrows, the sparrows, the blue tits, the coal tits, the great tits, the chaffinches, and the rest… even the bigger birdies. ♦

Spring hath sprung here in the south – 71° F today. Pollen blankets all of the autos, courtesy of the ornamental blossoms of the many Bradford Pear trees and flowering Azaleas made renowned on par with The Masters fame; and which posies are the rule and not the exception. I observed a pairing of golden eagles yesterday who were made pigeon by an ebullient fracus with a rather censorious crow. Give my regards to the Finches!
