Missing gas main found in Oxford

I FIND IT a bit worrying that Oxford City Council doesn’t have a clue where the gas mains are, near to the Duke’s Cut and the aptly named Chain Alley.

Only in Oxford. Only in Oxford. ♥

    Mike, I believe I got
your fortune cookie yesterday. It read:
“You have the ability to find something beautiful in ordinary things. Do no [sic] lose this.”

(-:Get your mind out of this gutter:-)

In local GAS Company there are maps of ALL underground things pipe. Available for public to view. pipe must go somewhere & possible, like photo indicates, might actually mean very pressurized pipe of volitle gas, unowned. Actually city is littered with pipes, hundreds or thousands per block, most older than those maps. some way out in country side where No Longer City Exists. Still theres pipe there & Robo cam might tell where goes, probably to Rat Infested maze. Methane is 10X more Warming of atmosphere than CO2.Amount of methane in upper atmosphere is 3X more than 150 years ago. Now onto theWAR:
evening hours of August 24, 1814, during the War of 1812, British forces attacked Washington, D.C., setting fire to the White House and the unfinished Capitol Building
Save that Methane. CH4. White House also burned down in 1947, along with Buckingham Palace.
