Shrimps run out at hack party in Vegas – riot ensues

I’M NOT IN LAS VEGAS, thanks gods, for the egregious  Consumer Electronics Show, but I have my moles who are.

And last night there was an event intended to be for us esteemed journalists where things got a bit out of hand.

The organisers ran out of food, blocked the doors to stop people coming in, and then ejected everyone. Some poor little lass was put in charge of the portal to prevent entry.

The waiters were up in arms too, according to my reliable mole. Some blogger threatened to write about CES had run out of shrimp cocktails and refused to provide any more.

Only in Vegas. ♥

North Parade gets a bucketful of barf*

HOW PRETTY the snow is. And how cold and wet. We had, I dunno, about eight or nine inches here in North Oxford yesterday.

Here’s some views of North Parade about 8:10AM this morning, plus what it’s like down my alleyway. But first, a desolate Woodstock Road around 8:15AM. *Barf – Hindi for ice, snow.
