This picture puzzles me

I CAN SING A rainbow – or in Hindi an Indradhanush. How come I took this pic and only just found it?

  1. That looks like a sundog.
    Sunlight passing through ice crystals high up in the atmosphere.

  2. Aa fine photo where light has refracted through a pyramidal prism.

    I once saw a dancing rainbow. I suspect it was gas; mine or the sky’s. Like floating oil in sunlight, the size of a football field only handkerchief size at the distance viewed from below.

    There was no official word and I may be contaminated.
