Snowdown in Oxford, goodbye to barf

OXFORD LARGELY escaped the snow that engulfed London earlier this week, but we got our come uppance this morning with about four or five inches of barf.

Still, next Monday I’m off to Bangalore and to temperatures that will thaw me out, no doubt. Unlike Oxford

BT continues to dick me around

YOU WON’T be surprised to hear that British Telecoms, otherwise known as BT, continues to mess around with my connection here in Oxford.

I was told that I’d get 5Mbps and the Summertown exchange is just a short distance away, but BT appears to be rationing everything.

For a premium service, it’s inferior. Eventually, like every Brit, I’ll lose my patience and phone the BT press office. I was kind of hoping that BT was threatened with some intelligence. Apparently not. I have almost lost my patience. ♦
